Trees won't produce

In Superfarmers, I have cocoa and apple trees that stopped producing after the first couple harvests. I chopped the first set of cocoa trees and purchased 3 more. The same thing happened. I know longer get a countdown timer to harvest, I only get a hatchet to chop when I click on all the trees. I talked to support, but don't think they understood the issue.
